About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Plastic Technician with expertise in polymer formulation, additives, and masterbatching—specifically using recycled content. This role is critical to optimising material performance, enhancing product quality, and ensuring consistency across our recycled plastic output.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and adjust plastic formulations using a variety of recycled polymers including LLDPE, HDPE, and PP.

Conduct additive and masterbatch blending, ensuring optimal material properties.

Perform lab testing and material analysis to monitor quality, colour, strength, and processing consistency.

Oversee processes related to plastic impregnation and blending of modifiers or stabilisers.

Collaborate with production staff to troubleshoot technical issues and improve processing efficiency.

Maintain documentation of formulations, material trials, and results for continuous improvement.

Skills and Experience:
Relevant trade qualification or extensive hands-on experience in plastics formulation and processing.

Strong understanding of polymers, additives, masterbatching, and plastic impregnation techniques.

Proven experience working with recycled plastic materials in a manufacturing or R&D setting.

Ability to read and interpret technical datasheets and adjust processes accordingly.

Attention to detail and commitment to quality control.

Laboratory or compounding plant experience preferred.

What We Offer:
Competitive salary of $70,000 – $80,000 p.a. based on skills and experience.
