About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dispense Technician with previous pharmacy experience in Australia to join our team at Steve Kolliou Caremore Pharmacy in Thornbury, VIC.
As a Dispense Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the efficient and accurate dispensing of medications to our patients. This is a full-time position, offering the opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative healthcare environment.

What you'll be doing

• Prepare and dispense medications according to patient prescriptions, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
• Assist pharmacists in the fulfillment of prescription orders
• Manage inventory and stock control, ensuring adequate supplies are maintained
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients, answering queries and addressing concerns
• Collaborate with the pharmacy team to ensure efficient workflow and timely delivery of medications
• Maintain detailed records and documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of pharmacy operations and patient care

What we're looking for

• Certificate III in Community Pharmacy or equivalent qualification
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Dispense Technician or in a similar role within a pharmacy setting in Australia.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in medication dispensing
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and the pharmacy team
• Proficiency in using pharmacy management software and other relevant technology
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic workplace
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
