About the Job The Pharmacy Field & Channel Lead is a Leadership role that brings together Pharmacy account management and Fiield execution, for end-to-end accountability of the Pharmacy channel and management of our New Zealand full service distributor. Leading a large and diverse team, this position builds a culture of customer centricity from head office engagement all the way to store. By providing clarity of big picture strategy, focused choices and executional integration, this role is charged with accelerating the growth of this critical and exciting channel. With 5 direct reports- 2 x National Business Managers for the Wholesalers and accounts, and 3 x Field managers leading territory managers across the country, cultural leadership and development is key! Main Responsibilities Strategic Leadership: Lead the Community Pharmacy account and field teams in the development and execution of the community pharmacy channel strategy to exceed defined commercial objectives Identify market trends, opportunities, and risks to inform strategic decisions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Regulatory, Supply Chain) to ensure cohesive execution. Commercial and Channel Management: Drive revenue growth and profitability across the independent pharmacy network. Lead commercial negotiations, pricing strategies, and promotional planning. Monitor channel performance metrics and adjust plans to meet targets. Own the forecast accuracy for the independent pharmacy channel, ensuring reliable demand projections. Partner with supply chain, finance, and sales teams to align forecasts with inventory and production planning. Management of NZ full service distributor Customer and Stakeholder Engagement Lead the team in the creation of compelling Joint Business Plans that maximise growth and optimise return on investment for Opella. Lead the creation of meaningful partnerships across diverse customer and industry connections to represent Opella’s interests and support future growth Act as a key liaison between field teams and head office functions. Partner with key internal stakeholders to drive customer centricity. People Management: Create and lead a high performing team. Lead, develop and grow a large team of salespeople across pharmacy account management and field execution to maximise impact for Opella’s brands Drive a High Performing Culture within direct and indirect team Actively develop talent through targeted development plans and coaching Actively address emerging performance gaps in a timely manner Health, Safety and Environment: Cooperate with Management to: Provide the information, instruction, training and supervision necessary to ensure the health and safety of employees About You We believe that professionals with the following experience and skillsets are well-suited for this position: Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field Experience: Previous Leadership role held across Sales, Commercial strategy, Brand Management, or related within the FMCG industry (Senior Sales leadership plus cross functional experience is highly desired) Strong understanding of the Australian Pharmacy landscape OR Independent Wholesale, Petrol & Convenience Channel Proven track record in developing and implementing successful commercial strategies Proven track record of success in team development and building capability within commercial functions Demonstrated experience in forecasting, commercial planning, and stakeholder engagement at all levels Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities- both internal and external Exceptional negotiation and influencing abilities Strategic thinking with strong commercial acumen Results-oriented with a focus on execution excellence Why us?
