Full Time Nursing Support Worker – Full time position is vacant at our Aged Care Facility, Cowra Retirement Village in Cowra NSW, 2794. Minimum 38 hours per week on a permanent basis.
Cowra Retirement Village is a community owned, not for profit organisation committed to providing the highest standard of care to our residents in a comfortable home like setting. You will work as part of a clinical team which includes registered nurses on duty 24/7 and be supported by a professional management team and a committed resident centred board.
Located in the vibrant regional township of Cowra NSW, the organisation has 84 residential beds including a 14-bed secured dementia unit and is one of the largest employers in the area with over 166 employees.
The Role
This position is to work closely with our Registered Nurses and Clinical team to provide high standard personal care services to cater the needs of all resident’s health and well-being.
Your role is to ensure that all duties required of a Personal Care Worker in an Aged Care Facility are carried out in accordance with our high standards and compliance requirements.

Annual Salary depending on experience/skills of $76,515 plus superannuation
Required Qualification: Relevant Certificate 3, or at least 1-year relevant experience.
Job Description
• assisting residents with their personal care needs such as showering, dressing and eating
• assisting residents with their mobility and communication needs
• participating in planning the care of individuals
• following therapy plans such as interventions to assist those with dementia and behavioural problems
• observing and reporting changes in patients' condition, and reporting complaints about care
• assisting with rehabilitation exercises, basic treatment and delivering medications
• providing direct support and assistance to therapists
About you
• Good verbal and written English communication skills
• Strong computer skills, with intermediate knowledge and application of Microsoft Suite and care software
• Ability to work in a team
• Critical thinking/problem-solving skills
Essential Criteria
• Qualifications/ training relevant to Aged Care
• Current First Aid Certificate
