About the Position:
The Personal Care Assistant role at Infinity Care involves providing essential support to individuals with disabilities in their homes or healthcare facilities, helping them achieve independence and maintain an active lifestyle. This full-time position focuses on delivering personalized care, fostering trust, and ensuring participants feel valued and supported in their daily lives.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing routine personal care services, including assisting with showering, dressing, and eating.
Supporting patients with mobility and communication needs.
Participating in planning individualized care and following therapy plans, such as interventions for dementia or behavioral challenges.
Observing and reporting changes in patients’ conditions and addressing complaints about care.
Assisting with rehabilitation exercises, basic treatments, and medication delivery.
Providing direct support and assistance to therapists to ensure seamless care delivery.
Requirements:
Australian citizens and permanent residents are encouraged to apply.
Minimum qualification: Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, or equivalent.
Minimum 1 year of experience in a Personal Care Assistant or similar role.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build trust with participants.
Empathy and compassion in delivering person-centered care.
Ability to follow care plans and therapy interventions accurately.
Observational skills to monitor and report changes in participants’ conditions.
Teamwork and collaboration with therapists and support teams.
Basic knowledge of safe manual handling and mobility assistance techniques.
