About the role:

Reporting into the Payroll Manager, your duties will include:

• Process payroll for all employees in a timely and accurate manner
• Ensure payroll calculations are compliant with relevant awards, legislation and internal policies
• Manage payroll-related tasks including superannuation, tax, and workers' compensation
• Liaise with HR to ensure employee data, such as appointments, terminations, and remuneration, is up to date
• Respond to employee queries in a timely manner
• Assist with end-of-month and end-of-year reconciliations
• Participate in payroll process improvements, system upgrades, and policy updates
• Maintain accurate and confidential employee records

About you:

• 5+ years experience in payroll
• Experience working in a medium - high volume payroll environment (1000+ employees)
• Experience using a large payroll system (eg. Chris21, SAP, Aurion, Preceda, Dayforce)
• Strong award and EA interpretation skills
• Experience managing payroll tax and superannuation processes
• High level of attention to detail
• Full and unlimited Australian working rights
