Randstad is proud to be partnering with our client who is a well-known market leader in their industry. Due to a major new HR and Payroll system implementation, they are seeking an experienced Payroll Business Analyst to join their team on a temporary contract until the end of the year.
The successful candidate will play a critical role, initially focusing on data migration for the new system. There is a strong possibility for the contract to be extended into 2026 for the right person who possesses systems testing experience and is keen to stay on board to support the next phases of the project.

About the role:
Reporting into the Senior Project Manager this role is a project-focused position where your primary responsibility will be ensuring a smooth and accurate transition of data to the new system. You will be instrumental in the initial critical phase of the implementation.
Your duties will initially focus on:
- Leading and executing data migration activities from the existing system to the new HR and Payroll platform
- Conducting data validation, cleansing, and reconciliation to ensure integrity and accuracy.
- Working closely with the Payroll and HR teams, as well as external system vendors, to understand data requirements and mapping
- Identifying, documenting, and escalating any data discrepancies or issues encountered during the migration process
Should the role be extended, your duties would shift to include:
- Developing and executing comprehensive User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scripts and scenarios
- Managing and resolving defects identified during the testing phases
- Providing post-implementation hypercare support
About you:
- Demonstrable experience as a Payroll Business Analyst or a Senior Payroll Specialist with significant exposure to system implementation projects
- Experience with large-scale payroll data migration and validation (essential)
- High level of proficiency with complex spreadsheets
- Strong problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
- A confident communicator, capable of engaging with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Full and unlimited Australian working rights
