CAMP OVEN BAKERY in Eight Mile Plains Shopping Centre is seeking an experienced and
passionate pastry cook to join our kitchen team.

About the role:
- Preparing and baking a variety of pastry breads, pastries, pies, cakes, biscuits and other
baked goods
- Creative cake decorating
- Checking quality of raw materials
- Assisting in ordering ingredients as required
- Checking condition and cleanliness of cooking equipment
- Preparing and making fillings for pastries and pies
- Kneading, maturing, cutting, moulding, mixing and shaping dough and pastry goods
- Monitoring oven temperatures and time for baking different items
- Glazing and decorating pastries and buns
- Preparing cream, icing and dessert toppings and decorations
- Decorating cakes using seasonal fruit and flavours as per customer orders
- Maintaining quality and consistency of all products
- Designing and developing new menu items in line with industry trends and in consultation
with owners
- Cleaning cooking equipment
- Adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations

The ideal candidate will have the following:
• Certificate III or equivalent in patisserie is preferred but not essential
• At least 3 years experiences as pastrycook in a professional bakery and/or patisserie
• Skills in preparation and baking of a variety of breads, pastries, pies, cakes and other baked
goods
• Strong knowledge of baking techniques, pastry preparation and decoration
• Creativity and attention to detail in dessert design and presentation
• Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
• Passion for baking and commitment to delivering high-quality baked goods
• Ability to work efficiently and independently
• Strong organisation and time management skills
• Availability to work during the weekends

Job type: Full-time
Pay: $78,000 per year
