The Catholic Archdiocese of Melbourne is one of the largest dioceses in the world with a wide variety of people, cultures and ministries, providing services and support to more than 200 parishes and 300 schools through pastoral, education, social welfare and administrative support. The Archdiocese is presided by the Archbishop of Melbourne, the role of those working for the Archdiocese is to assist the Archbishop in serving God's people within the defined territory.
