Job Description – Panel Beater / Spray PainterPosition Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Panel Beater / Spray Painter to join our team. The role involves repairing, restoring, and refinishing vehicle bodywork to a high standard. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing vehicle damage, carrying out structural and cosmetic repairs, and applying professional-quality paint finishes.

Key Responsibilities
Inspect and assess damaged vehicles to determine required repairs.
Remove dents, straighten chassis and frames, and replace or repair panels.
Perform welding, filling, sanding, and surface preparation.
Mix, match, and apply automotive paints to manufacturer specifications.
Spray paint vehicles and parts using appropriate techniques and equipment.
Ensure all repairs and finishes meet quality, safety, and customer satisfaction standards.
Maintain a clean and safe workshop environment.
Work collaboratively with other technicians to meet deadlines.

Skills & Qualifications
Certificate III in Automotive Body Repair Technology or equivalent trade qualification (preferred).
Proven experience as a Panel Beater and/or Spray Painter in the automotive industry.
Strong knowledge of repair tools, welding, and painting equipment.
Ability to accurately mix and match colours.
High attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Current driver’s licence.
