As a Painter at Crystal Services Group, you will be responsible for preparing and applying paint, varnishes, and other finishes to residential and commercial surfaces. This position requires a strong eye for detail, consistency, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities and Tasks:

• Prepare surfaces, repairing imperfections with filler, and sanding to achieve a smooth, paint-ready finish.
• Measure, blend, and adjust paints, stains, and varnishes to match specified colours and textures, incorporating thinners or additives when necessary.
• Apply coatings with brushes, rollers, or spraying systems, maintaining consistent coverage and professional finish across all surfaces.
• Maintain cleanliness of tools, equipment, and the worksite by carrying out thorough cleaning after each job.
• Set up access equipment such as ladders and scaffolding, and shield surrounding areas with protective covers to prevent overspray or accidental marks.
• Follow all workplace health, safety, and environmental practices, including correct ventilation, waste disposal, and use of personal protective gear.
• Calculate the required quantities of paint, materials, and labour hours to assist with costings and efficient scheduling of work.
• Provide guidance to clients regarding colour schemes, surface finishes, and decorative options when requested.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Relevant qualification.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Painter
• Familiarity with various painting techniques, tools and equipment.
• Good communication skills and a professional attitude.
• Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet deadlines.

Salary: The role offers a remuneration package ranging from $75,000 - $90.000 p.a plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
