About the Position:
As a Painter at Rohy’s Painting Pty Limited, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces and applying high-quality finishes to internal and external surfaces across residential and commercial properties. This full-time role involves working on both new construction and renovation projects, ensuring exceptional painting results that meet client expectations and adhere to strict safety standards. You will collaborate with a dedicated team, utilizing your expertise in surface preparation, paint application, and equipment maintenance to deliver professional outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare surfaces for painting by removing old paint, filling holes and cracks, sanding, and cleaning.
Apply primers, sealers, undercoats, and finishing coats using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
Mix and match paint colors according to project specifications.
Protect surrounding areas using drop cloths, masking tape, and other protective measures.
Operate and maintain painting tools and equipment, including spray guns, scaffolding, and ladders.
Maintain job site cleanliness and adhere to safe work practices at all times.
Collaborate with team members and report to the site supervisor or project manager.
Requirements:
Australian citizens and permanent residents are encouraged to apply.
Required Qualifications: AQF Certificate III in Painting and Decorating (or equivalent).
Required Experience: Minimum 2 years of on-the-job experience in painting or decorating.
Strong knowledge of surface preparation, paint types, and application techniques.
Ability to work at heights and use access equipment safely.
Sound understanding of Work Health & Safety (WHS) practices.
Attention to detail, pride in workmanship, and commitment to deadlines.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Driver’s license (preferred).
