We are developing a children’s footwear product that combines a knitted upper with an injection-moulded sole (sock-shoe concept). The goal is to create a minimalist shoe that mimics barefoot walking while meeting podiatric standards for healthy foot development. Scope of Work - Design an outsole compatible with SEBS-TPE material. - Create a barefoot-style sole: wide toe box, zero drop, thin and flexible (3–4mm), no arch support. - Ensure ergonomic functionality: safe grip (including on wet surfaces), lightweight structure, and child-friendly movement. - Provide full IP ownership for patent registration Provide technical deliverables: - Outsole design concepts. - Technical drawings / 3D models. - Files suitable that would help a CAD designer to translate for tooling. What We’re Looking For - Experience in footwear design, preferably children’s or barefoot/minimalist shoes. - Strong skills in 3D design, photorealistic rendering, and design for manufacturing. - Understanding of injection moulding and hybrid shoe construction (sock + sole). - Attention to ergonomics and compliance with children’s footwear standards. Nice to Have - Experience working with podiatric guidelines for footwear. - Knowledge of SEBS-TPE or similar thermoplastic elastomers.
