- About the Role
- Perched on the 77th floor of the Q1 building, SkyPoint offers one of the most extraordinary hospitality settings in the country. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Operations Manager – Food & Beverage to lead the front and back of house across our bustling Bistro & Bar as well as our conferences and events operations.
- Reporting directly to the General Manager, this is a career-defining opportunity to bring your leadership skills to a nationally recognised venue. You will guide a large and diverse team, ensure operational excellence, and play a pivotal role in shaping the next chapter of our guest and dining experience.
- Key Responsibilities
- • Deliver consistent, high-quality service and presentation standards across all F&B outlets and events.
- • Lead, mentor and inspire teams at every level, developing strong professionals and nurturing future leaders.
- • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal departments and external stakeholders to drive business outcomes.
- • Implement and monitor systems, processes and compliance to ensure operational excellence and safety.
- • Drive growth through proactive identification of business opportunities and effective marketing/sales initiatives.
- • Oversee recruitment, onboarding and rostering, ensuring balanced staffing within budget.
- • Act as a senior leader across the wider business, stepping in for department heads when required.
- About You
- We are looking for a seasoned hospitality professional who thrives in high-volume environments and understands the importance of leading by example. You will be as comfortable in the detail of operations as you are in the strategic conversations that shape the future of the business.
To be successful, you’ll bring
- • Minimum 3 years’ leadership experience in a high-volume F&B or events environment.
- • A proven ability to coach, mentor and inspire teams while building strong, collaborative cultures.
- • Exceptional stakeholder management skills – confident working with other Managers, support departments and suppliers to achieve win–win outcomes.
- • Strong commercial acumen with experience in managing budgets, COGS, and wage costs, while maximising revenue opportunities.
- • Experience across multiple disciplines including food & beverage, events and guest service operations.
- • Outstanding communication, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
- • Exceptional organisational skills with a sharp eye for detail.
- • Current RMLV (or ability to obtain).
