Save Our Books Australia are advertising a permanent casual Operations Assistant position at our Salisbury site.
The successful applicant would be responsible for working in a team in our books sorting process and will ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of these operations. Whilst the successful applicant would comply with the direction of the business owner, the successful applicant is welcomed to suggest improvements to processes for the benefit of the efficiency of the operations.
The successful applicant must have a strong back and be physically fit to be able to lift 15-20 kilogram boxes throughout each shift.
$27 per hour. Full payment will be calculated based on the number of hours worked. Payment will be made within 24 hours after each shift.

Specific Duties
1. Prepare the operations and bin areas to commence processing of books delivery.
2. Sort books and books covers into skip bin.
3. Assist in flattening of cardboard and taking to the nearby recycling site when applicable.
4. Place lids back onto boxes.
5. Manage the close out process and cleaning the operations areas at the end of each shift.
