We now have an exciting opportunity available for an Operations Analytics and Insights Lead to join our Operations team in either Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane or Perth, on a full-time permanent basis. Reporting to the Head of Operations Strategy & Capital, you will be responsible for bringing data-driven insights and analysis to APA’s strategic initiatives and plans across Operations including gas infrastructure and power generation asset systems. Key Responsibilities Provide advanced analysis and insights supporting Operations’ strategy, performance, budgeting and capital prioritisation and governance functions including forecasts, reports and visualisations Provide cross-functional collaboration, strategic input and guidance to the Operations data, systems and intelligence and technology teams, to ensure alignment with broader Operations strategic needs Support the development of asset system strategic plans, aligned with APA's long-term goals and objectives, embedding analytics into decision-making and business planning Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership and communicate clearly and efficiently at all levels in the organisation Drive continuous improvement and innovation in analytics, identifying improvement opportunities and focusing on efficiency and automation Your background Tertiary qualifications in data science, business, economics, engineering or a related relevant field Self-starter, able to work independently, identify needs and opportunities, establish relationships and execute plans in collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders Demonstrated experience in senior business analytics position including development of analytics and insights capability in an operational context Experience in energy infrastructure operations in Australia, such as gas production, transmission and storage, gas-fired power generation, renewable generation and storage and electricity transmission Proficient in analytics, database tools, business intelligence and visualisation Working at APA At APA we’re committed to fostering a safe and inclusive workplace where you can achieve your best.
