Job Description I run a small website design business in Australia and am looking for a reliable technical support person with strong experience in WordPress. Occasionally I also work on Wix and Squarespace, so familiarity with those platforms would be a bonus. Main Tasks: • Assist with the final steps of launching a website (“go live” process) — working with hosting providers and domain registrars to connect domains, set up DNS records, configure SSL certificates, and ensure everything runs smoothly. • General WordPress troubleshooting for technical issues and time-consuming tasks (e.g., layout or display issues, setting up and testing contact forms, fixing errors). Additional Tasks (as required): • Ongoing website maintenance — updates, bug fixes, graphics adjustments, adding buttons/pages, light page design, posting content. • Setting up new websites (cPanel, hosting, domain registration, WordPress installation). • Work with Astra theme, Spectra page builder, and Gutenberg blocks (must be confident using these). • Install and configure plugins, widgets, and settings (e.g., Wordfence, UpdraftPlus, All-in-One SEO), with clear communication to confirm details. • Test websites across browsers and devices for compatibility. • Handle site backups/restores if needed. • Manage website security setup and monitoring. What I’m Looking For: • Strong technical WordPress skills. • Experience with hosting/domain management. • Good communication in English (this is very important). • Reliable, detail-oriented, and proactive.
