About the position:
Australian Pacific College (APC) is seeking an Office Manager to join our Surfers Paradise, Gold Coast campus. This role involves daily interaction with visitors, clients, students, and staff, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment. We are looking for a highly organised and approachable professional who can manage a wide range of administrative tasks, including handling calls and emails, coordinating schedules, overseeing office supplies, and supporting the smooth day-to-day operations of the campus to keep both the team and organisation running efficiently.
Objectives of this Role:
Manage and enhance the client experience by ensuring all visitors receive a welcoming, professional, and approachable service.
Maintain smooth organisational operations by proactively identifying and addressing potential issues.
Implement and monitor established policies and procedures, evaluate outcomes against standards, and drive improvements to operational efficiency.
Coordinate internal and external resources while fostering strong relationships with education providers and stakeholders.
Supervise office interactions, providing timely and effective responses to requests and inquiries.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:
Ensure office efficiency by maintaining the appearance of common areas, organising procedures, managing correspondence, filing systems, supplies, and equipment.
Act as the primary point of contact at reception, overseeing daily office activities and keeping management updated through regular and ad hoc reporting.
Provide comprehensive administrative support, including scheduling meetings and events, booking travel, maintaining filing systems, handling mail and packages, and updating contact databases and employee records.
Oversee and maintain office equipment to ensure uninterrupted functionality, manage vendor relationships, coordinate supply needs, and arrange catering or deliveries when required.
Manage office space and infrastructure planning, including workstation changes and relocations, while delivering resources, solutions, and support to staff as needed.
Requirements:
Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents encouraged to apply
1+ year of office management experience
Diploma level or higher in Business Administration or Management (extensive work experience can be accept instead of qualification)
Strong time-management and people skills, flexibility, and multitasking ability
Advanced computer skills and experience with online platforms
Proficiency Microsoft Office, with aptitude to learn new software and systems
