Your role at St John of God Berwick Hospital The Grade 1 Occupational Therapist works alongside the multi-disciplinary team to provide clinical occupational therapy services to clients/patients using evidence based clinical practice skills. New graduates are encouraged to apply! The role is primarily based within rehabilitation settings across inpatient and outpatient services, with additional caseload opportunities in acute wards such as orthopaedics, surgical and medical. This position will be offered on a 12-month fixed term, part-time (0.6) basis, working across a Monday to Sunday rotating roster. The Position Provide direct occupational therapy services to clients/patients and or carers on an individual or group level for both inpatients and outpatients. Completion of comprehensive patient assessment (e.g. assessment of personal care, domestic and community ADLs, assessment of the home environment, cognitive and functional physical assessment as required). Provision of a comprehensive treatment intervention and appropriate progression treatment to match functional goals. Coordinate the provision of special aids and equipment requirements of patients if required to assist with functioning Provide consultation and support to medical, nursing, catering and allied health professionals within the Division as appropriate. Responsible for completing appropriate administrative duties arising from each session instructed. This requires liaison with the office administration team, reporting of statistical data and completion of clinical documentation You will have a Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) along with demonstrated knowledge and skills in assessment, treatment and evaluation within Occupational Therapy practice. To succeed you will demonstrate effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills (including ability to communicate using technology) and the ability to work independently and within a multi-disciplinary team. We can offer you Salary: $70,866 to $97,980 per annum (pro rata for part time), plus 12% superannuation A fixed term, 12-month part time position, working up to 46hours available.
