The Role Clayton Utz is seeking a dynamic and experienced National Recruitment Consultant to join our centrally located Melbourne office on a 12-month fixed-term contract. In this role, you will manage the end-to-end recruitment process for a diverse range of roles across the firm, including Legal and Business Advisory Services (BAS). You will also have the opportunity to contribute to strategic projects within the People & Development (P&D) team, making a meaningful impact on the firm’s recruitment strategy and processes. Key Responsibilities: Act as a trusted recruitment business partner, building strong relationships with Partners and Managers across the firm. Lead the technical aspects of recruitment, ensuring the firm attracts and secures the best talent in the market. Represent Clayton Utz as a brand ambassador, providing all candidates with a respectful and seamless experience, regardless of the outcome of their application. Develop and implement innovative sourcing strategies to engage both passive top talent and active job seekers. Collaborate with hiring managers to design and deliver engaging and effective selection processes. Drive continuous improvement within the Recruitment Team, including optimising processes, supplier relationships, and our ATS (Workday). Contribute to P&D projects, supporting the National Recruitment Manager and other P&D leaders as required. What We’re Looking For: Recruitment experience (agency or in-house), ideally within the legal industry or a professional services environment. A proven ability to thrive in a busy recruitment environment, managing a high volume of roles with efficiency and professionalism. A proactive and autonomous approach, with a focus on delivering an engaging and commercial recruitment process. A genuine passion for recruitment, with experience recruiting for legal roles and/or forensic technology highly regarded. Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to foster and maintain connections with internal and external stakeholders. Excellent communication skills, coupled with the ability to multitask and manage competing priorities. High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality outcomes. A willingness to travel when required. The National People & Development team: With a presence in all our major offices, the National People and Development (P&D) team advises the business on all people initiatives, including talent management, employee relations, resourcing, recruitment (both graduate and lateral), remuneration, benefits, reporting and learning and organisational development. This role reports to the National Recruitment Manager and sits within our Talent team, which is responsible for designing and delivering market-leading talent acquisition and retention initiatives and programs consistent with the Firm's people vision, culture and strategy.
