Job Description: Mars is looking for a strategic and driven National Account Manager—or as we like to say, a Customer Development Leader—to take the lead on one of our major corporate grocery accounts. This is a high-impact role where you’ll drive profitable sales growth by creating and executing winning business plans with a key grocery customer. As the primary point of contact, you’ll have full P&L ownership and be instrumental in unlocking value for both Mars and the customer. From optimizing trade investment to maximizing category performance, you’ll bring insight, influence, and innovation to the table. You’ll build strong, collaborative relationships with key customers and internal stakeholders alike—working cross-functionally to develop data-led strategies and joint business plans that deliver mutual, sustainable growth. What will be your key responsibilities? Lead strategic planning and execution of short- and long-term customer strategies that drive sales, maximize profitability, and align with business, category, and customer goals. Put the shopper at the heart of your plans by deeply understanding your customer’s environment and building insight-led strategies that deliver mutual growth. Own the forecast. Deliver accurate and timely demand planning by leveraging multiple data sources—across consumption and shipment—with a mindset focused on continuous improvement. Design and deliver tailored solutions that meet both customer needs and Mars’ strategic objectives—driving success across category, customer, and business priorities. Be the voice of the customer. Build and nurture influential relationships with key stakeholders, championing shopper- and channel-centric solutions that deepen engagement and unlock growth. What are we looking for? Proven Sales experience that includes selling, negotiating and leveraging insights to deliver tailored customer plans, achieving company and customer objectives and advancing category leadership Previous customer experience and proven ability to deliver successful solutions that cover product, placement, promotion and/ or pricing; with an excellent track record of meeting/ exceeding sales objectives Exceptional relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and build long-term partnerships that drive mutual value. A confident communicator and strategic thinker, with the ability to assess customer needs, develop collaborative solutions, manage objections, and navigate challenges with resilience and professionalism What can you expect from Mars?
