Are you passionate about building capability and creating positive change? We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading federal government department, seeking talented and committed individuals to join its Workforce Capability team. We have several exciting temporary opportunities available across a range of classifications, and we are looking for individuals who are committed to delivering high-quality, culturally safe training for the workforce.
I am seeking applicants for the following roles:
- Training Coordinator
- Senior Training Design Officer
- Training Facilitation Officer
- Assistant Director - Training Package Design Lead
We are looking for candidates with experience in instructional design, training facilitation, and coordination. A strong understanding of cultural safety and First Nations perspectives is essential across all roles. The successful candidates will join a collaborative and supportive environment that values respect, accountability, and continuous improvement.
About the Roles
Training Coordinator: This role is for a highly organised individual with strong coordination skills. You'll support the logistics of training delivery, including scheduling, venue booking, and participant communications. You'll also assist in developing training materials and help uphold culturally safe and inclusive practices.
Senior Training Design Officer: As a Senior Training Design Officer, you'll be a key player in developing and delivering culturally safe and inclusive training packages. You'll collaborate with First Nations stakeholders to co-design learning solutions that incorporate cultural knowledge and lived experience.
Training Facilitation Officer: This role is for an experienced facilitator who can lead and deliver culturally safe and engaging training programs. You'll facilitate sessions in various formats, including face-to-face and virtual , and will work with the design team to ensure fidelity to content and cultural safety standards. You'll also promote psychological safety through respectful, trauma-aware facilitation.
Assistant Director - Training Package Design Lead: This is a leadership role where you'll be responsible for leading the end-to-end design and continuous improvement of training packages. You will apply your expertise in instructional design and adult learning to create effective and engaging learning experiences. You'll also manage vendor relationships and contribute to workforce capability planning.
Key Skills & Qualifications
Across all roles, we are seeking candidates who demonstrate:
- A strong commitment to cultural safety and First Nations perspectives.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience in instructional design, training development, or facilitation.
- Relevant qualifications in education, training, or human resources.
- A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent) is highly desirable.
