An opportunity has become available for experienced full-time Motor Mechanics to join Great Lakes Nissan.
Located in Tuncurry NSW.
What You’ll Be Doing
This role is hands-on and varied. Your work will include:
-Reviewing daily service bookings and preparing required parts in advance with support from the parts team.
-Carrying out mechanical servicing, inspections and repair work in line with Nissan and company procedures.
-Documenting all work performed on repair orders, including parts used and any additional recommendations.
-Identifying further mechanical issues and communicating these through the Workshop Controller for customer approval.
-Following warranty processes, including tagging and storing replaced components when required.
-Using technical bulletins, diagnostic tools and training resources to stay up to date with product changes.
-Maintaining a tidy work bay, completing hoist and equipment checks, and ensuring safe use of tools, chemicals and workshop equipment.
-Assisting with mentoring Apprentice Technicians when needed.
About You
To be successful, you will bring:
-A Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (essential).
-Experience in vehicle servicing and mechanical repairs, ideally within a dealership or similar workshop.
-A current manual driver’s licence.
-Strong attention to detail, accurate record-keeping and safe work habits.
-A customer-focused approach and clear communication skills.
-The ability to work well with others and contribute positively to workshop culture.
-Registration Inspection and Air Conditioning Accreditation are highly regarded, and Nissan experience is beneficial but not essential.

Salary: $70,000 – $80,000 per year
