About the Position:
As a Motor Mechanic at KHG Autoworkshop Pty Ltd, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality repairs and maintenance, ensuring vehicles—particularly European models—perform at their peak. This full-time position involves diagnosing complex mechanical issues, performing precise repairs, and contributing to our reputation for excellence in Clayton South. Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough diagnostics on vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, and electrical components, to identify faults.
Perform routine maintenance and complex repairs on a range of vehicles, with a focus on European makes.
Execute brake, suspension, and exhaust system replacements with precision and adherence to safety standards.
Collaborate with panel beaters and spray painters to ensure seamless service delivery for smash repair projects.
Complete VicRoads roadworthy inspections, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Maintain detailed service records and provide clear, honest communication to customers about repair needs.
Keep workshop tools and equipment in top condition, adhering to safety and cleanliness protocols.
Requirements:
Australian citizens and permanent residents are strongly encouraged to apply.
AQF Certificate III in Motor Mechanic, Automobile Mechanic, or a related field (essential).
2–3 years of experience as a motor mechanic or in a relevant automotive role.
Strong technical skills in engine diagnostics, auto electrical systems, and European vehicle repair techniques.
Proficiency with diagnostic tools and software, including OBD-II scanners and brand-specific systems.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail to ensure high-quality repairs.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with customers and team members.
A proactive attitude, reliability, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
