Job Description - Motor Mechanic

Task & Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of on-site vehicle mechanic services, including testing, modifying, and repairing engines and mechanical systems.
- Diagnose and repair petrol engines, transmissions, suspension, steering, and brakes.
- Repair motor subassemblies, including clutches, brakes, and transmissions.
- Disassemble engines to inspect and replace faulty components, then reassemble accurately.
- Disassemble sub-assembly units, inspecting alignment and condition using gauges.
- Use diagnostic scanners to identify and resolve OBD system fault codes, program modules, and recalibrate systems as needed.
- Replace defective parts using hand tools, hydraulic presses, and power tools.
- Perform tire-related duties, such as pressure checks, mounting, and balancing.
- Replace or repair body components, including panels, bumpers, and headlights.
- Interact with automotive software for diagnostics, repair tracking, and customer reporting.
Qualification & Experience
- Minimum of three years full-time experience as a Motor Mechanic or similar role.
- Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical Technology (Light Vehicle) or equivalent.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, automotive software, and various power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Valid driver’s license preferred.
