LEE & THOMAS We’re looking for a skilled Motor Mechanic to join our team!   Benefits Competitive pay Opportunities for advancement Supportive work environment Training and development programs   Key Duties and Responsibilities: Carry out routine servicing and maintenance, including oil changes, lubrication, and tune-ups, to keep vehicles running smoothly and meeting emission standards Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using both traditional methods and modern computer-based testing equipment Remove and dismantle engines, transmissions, steering systems, and related components for detailed inspection Repair or replace worn or defective parts, then reassemble engines and systems in line with manufacturer specifications and service manuals Test, adjust, and fine-tune repaired systems to ensure safety, reliability, and optimum performance Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections and, if accredited, issue roadworthy certificates or provide advice on required repairs Respond to urgent vehicle breakdowns and provide roadside mechanical assistance when needed   Qualifications & Experience Minimum 4 years’ proven experience as a qualified Motor Mechanic, with strong knowledge of vehicle systems, diagnostics, and repair techniques Completion of at least a Diploma in Automotive Technology (or equivalent) Solid understanding of safety standards and industry best practices in automotive repair and servicing Excellent technical skills, including the ability to use diagnostic tools, hand tools, and workshop equipment with precision and care Strong communication and customer service skills, ensuring professionalism and quality in every interaction Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team, with a strong sense of responsibility and pride in workmanship Passion for delivering high-quality automotive service and a genuine commitment to keeping vehicles safe and reliable   About Company Lee & Thomas is a locally owned, fast paced business where every day brings in something new, working on a wide range of vehicles & machinery.
