Job description:

• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, fluid checks, and filter replacements to ensure vehicles are operating efficiently.

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment and technical expertise, identifying issues, and recommending
appropriate repair solutions.

• Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to assess their condition and identify any potential safety hazards or maintenance requirements.

• Carry out repairs and replacements of faulty components, including engines, transmissions, brakes, steering systems, and suspension
components, adhering to manufacturer specifications and safety standards.

• Perform tune-ups and adjustments to engine components, fuel systems, ignition systems, and exhaust systems to optimise vehicle
performance and fuel efficiency.

• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including parts used, labour hours, and diagnostic findings, in compliance with workshop
procedures and regulatory requirements.

• Provide professional advice and guidance to customers regarding vehicle maintenance, repair options, and preventative care measures, ensuring their understanding and satisfaction.

Qualifications/Attributes:???

• Must hold a Certificate III in Automotive Technology or 3 years in lieu of qualification.
• Must possess at least a minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience.
• Must have proficiency in using diagnostic equipment, hand and power tools, and computerised systems for vehicle diagnosis and repair.
• Sound knowledge of vehicle systems and components, including engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, and suspension systems.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to interact with customers, colleagues, and suppliers.


Salary Range: $70,000 - $85,000 p.a. excluding superannuation.
