Position: Motor Mechanic – Full-Time
Salary: $76,000 to $80,000 + Superannuation

About the Role
The Motor Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to ensure they are safe, reliable, and in optimal working condition. You will work across a range of mechanical tasks including servicing, fault-finding, component repairs, and system diagnostics.

Key Responsibilities
1. Diagnose mechanical issues using both manual techniques and computerised diagnostic tools.
2. Service and repair engines, transmissions, brake systems, suspension, steering, and cooling systems.
3. Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, filter replacements, safety checks, and general servicing.
4. Inspect vehicles to identify required repairs, worn components, and potential safety concerns.
5. Test and adjust mechanical parts after repair to ensure correct operation.
6. Maintain accurate repair documentation, job sheets, and service records.
7. Assist with ordering parts and maintaining workshop stock levels.
8. Comply with WHS standards, workshop safety procedures, and environmental guidelines.
9. Work collaboratively with the workshop team to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery.

Skills & Experience
1. Certificate III or IV in Automotive Mechanical Technology or an equivalent qualification.
2. Minimum 1–2 years’ experience as a Motor Mechanic (required for Subclass 482 visa).
3. Strong diagnostic skills, including use of modern scanning tools.
4. Solid understanding of motor vehicle systems and repair techniques.
5. Ability to work efficiently under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
6. Strong communication skills and a positive team-oriented approach.
7. High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
