Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Motel Manager to oversee the daily operations of our motel in Mount Garnet, QLD. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing accommodation services, supervising staff, ensuring guest satisfaction, and maintaining financial and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, organise, and control the overall operations of the motel to provide guest accommodation and related services in a profitable and compliant manner.
Direct and oversee reservation, reception, room service, and housekeeping activities to ensure efficient service delivery and high customer satisfaction.
Recruit, train, supervise, and roster staff, including overseeing security arrangements and coordinating garden and property maintenance activities.
Plan, organise, and supervise food and beverage services, including bar, restaurant, function, and conference activities where applicable.
Monitor and ensure compliance with liquor licensing, gaming regulations, occupational health and safety requirements, and other relevant laws and regulations.
Assess, review, and respond to customer satisfaction levels, feedback, and complaints to maintain service quality and business reputation.
Oversee accounting, budgeting, purchasing, cost control, and financial reporting activities to support effective business management.
Maintain accurate operational and financial records, and where required, provide guests with local tourism information and arrange tours or transportation services.
Experience & Qualifications
AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.
Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience in motel, hotel, or accommodation management.
Strong leadership, staff supervision, and organisational skills.
Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
Sound knowledge of hospitality operations, budgeting, and compliance requirements.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple responsibilities, and make effective decisions under pressure.
