Our client MANB Holding Pty Ltd, trading as Byer Fountain Motor Inn, is a well-established accommodation provider located in Holbrook, NSW. The business offers a comfortable and welcoming environment for travellers, with modern facilities, dining options, and a strong focus on guest satisfaction.

The business is seeking to appoint an experienced Motel Manager to oversee day-to-day operations, ensure smooth service delivery, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction. The primary purpose of this role is to manage the motel’s daily activities efficiently, ensuring guest comfort, operational effectiveness, and sustainable financial performance.

This role is vital to the continued success of the motel, requiring a manager who can lead a team, optimise operational standards, and strengthen the motel’s position in the competitive hospitality market.

Minimum Requirements:
• Diploma or equivalent, as per the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF). A qualification in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field is highly desirable.
• Minimum one year relevant experience in a similar role within the accommodation or hospitality industry.

Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee daily operations, including reception, guest services, housekeeping, and maintenance.
• Manage bookings and optimise occupancy rates through effective pricing and yield management strategies.
• Supervise, train, and evaluate staff to maintain service quality and performance standards.
• Deliver excellent guest relations, promptly handling enquiries and complaints to ensure satisfaction.
• Prepare budgets, monitor financial performance, and provide regular reports to the Director.
• Coordinate maintenance schedules and liaise with contractors for repairs and property improvements.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and implement local marketing initiatives to increase occupancy and promote the motel.
• Monitor and respond to guest feedback to continuously improve service quality.
• Manage inventory and procurement processes, ensuring cost-effective operations.

Skills and Experience:
• Proven leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and support staff.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach.
• Solid financial management capabilities, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
• Problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities to address operational or guest issues effectively.
• Strong organisational and multitasking skills to manage diverse aspects of motel operations.
• Knowledge of hospitality marketing strategies and promotional activities.
• Familiarity with compliance obligations, including licensing, workplace safety, and employment law.
