B & J MCLEOD HOLDINGS PTY LTD (T/a MCLEOD CIVIL CONSTRUCTION) are seeking applications for Mobile Plant Operator in Panmure VIC.

As an experienced Mobile Plant Operator, you will be responsible for undertaking duties associated with the day – to day operations of mobile plant and earthmoving equipment.

Duties and responsibilities

- Operate a range of mobile plant and equipment safely and efficiently to support site operations
- Choosing, installing and securing plant attachment
- Controlling mechanical and electrical systems to operate attachments and handle materials
- Supervising plant performance through direct observation and instrument reading
- Checking plant condition, carrying out basic maintenance and reporting mechanical issues
- Operate mobile plant machinery in accordance with workplace health and safety (WHS) legislation, site procedures, and Safe Work Method Statements
- Conduct pre-start, operational, and shutdown inspections to identify hazards, defects, and unsafe conditions.
- Ensure plant and attachments are operated within manufacturer specifications and site safety requirements.
- Comply with environmental controls, including dust, noise, and spill prevention measures.

Skills
- Competent operation of mobile plant and earthmoving equipment
- Reading and interpreting gauges, indicators, and warning systems
- Basic plant maintenance and fault identification
- Current driver license
- Experience operating earthmoving equipment, such as, but not limited to compactors, bulldozers, excavators, skid steers and loaders
- At least 2 years' work experience

Salary range is $65,000 - $85,000pa commensurate with experience
