- Location: Based at the eastern shores of nipaluna/Hobart in lutruwita/Tasmania – On-site role with outreach across Southern Tasmania
- Salary: Dependent on qualifications + 12% Super + Generous Salary Packaging benefits of up to $18,550
- About the program
- headspace Early Psychosis is a youth and family-friendly mental health service for young people (15–25) experiencing or at risk of psychosis. Our multidisciplinary team delivers evidence-based, recovery-focused care, supporting young people and their families through assessment, intervention, and ongoing support. The MATT and CCT teams provide assertive outreach, crisis management, and intensive engagement, helping young people build resilience and hope for the future.
- Your role, your impact
- As a MATT/CCT Clinician, you’ll play a vital role in supporting young people and their families through early psychosis. You’ll deliver clinical assessment, intervention, and case management, working as part of a collaborative team to create pathways to recovery. Your work will help young people and their families navigate complex challenges, strengthen their support networks, and build brighter futures.
Key responsibilities
- Provide clinical assessment, intervention, crisis management, and therapy to young people
- Promote family involvement in care and treatment planning
- Engage clients, carers, and families in collaborative treatment and review
- Strengthen shared care models and partnerships with other service providers
- Deliver interventions aligned with the EPPIC model
- Support ongoing professional development and contribute to research and evaluation
- Maintain accurate documentation and meet data collection requirements
- Foster a positive, collaborative team environment
- Who we’re looking for
- Approved tertiary qualification in Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Psychology, or Social Work (mandatory)
- Current registration with AHPRA or eligibility for AASW membership (mandatory)
- Experience in clinical assessment, intervention, and case management with young people
- Strong engagement skills for working with young people and families
- Ability to provide flexible outreach services
- High-level interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Understanding of relevant legislation and recovery-oriented care
- Commitment to inclusive, culturally safe practice
- Valid driver’s licence (mandatory)
