METALLURGIST/PROJECT SPECIALIST

Fluent in Mandarin a strong advantage (written and spoken)
As a Metallurgist at Mining One, you will play a crucial role in optimising mineral processing operations and improving efficiencies for our clients. This full-time position is based in our Melbourne office and will involve testwork, studies and hands-on technical work.
What you'll be doing
Provide best practice technical input and support to operations and projects.
Evaluate processes and identify areas for improvement.
Scoping / Prefeasibility / Feasibility studies.
Design, plan, co-ordinate, analyse and report metallurgical testwork and trials.
Conduct metallurgical accounting and reconciliation audits and reviews.
Project manage metallurgical improvements from concept to implementation.
Identify and evaluate innovations in metallurgy and assess their application to operations and projects.
Preparation of draft reports for review by the Project Manager.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering or a related field
Minimum 4 years of experience in a metallurgist role within the mining industry
Proven track record of optimising mineral processing operations and improving plant performance
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and technical skills
Strong leadership, teamwork, and communication abilities
Thorough understanding of metallurgical principles, processes, and equipment
Knowledge of mining regulations, health and safety standards, and environmental compliance requirements
As a Project Specialist you will be able to:
Manage projects
Liaise with international and local clients - specificially in Mandarin
Adhere to strict deadlines
