The Opportunity:

We are currently seeking Metal Fabricator to join Oxworks. The role is classified under ANZSCO 322311 – Metal Fabricator, making it suitable for both local and visa-sponsored applicants.

The Role:

We are looking for a trade-qualified Metal Fabricator to join our production team. You will be responsible for fabricating high-quality fencing products, gates, and architectural screens. This role requires precision, technical skill, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment using industry-leading technology.

Key Responsibilities (ANZSCO 322311):

-Technical Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications to determine layout and fabrication requirements for fencing and gate systems.

-Fabrication & Assembly: Mark out, cut, and shape metal sections (aluminum and steel) using hand tools, power tools, and metal-cutting machinery.

-Welding: Join metal components using various techniques (MIG and TIG) to ensure strong, clean, and durable joins.

-Shaping & Bending: Use machine tools to bend and shape metal sections and pipes according to custom designs.

-Quality Assurance: Inspect finished products for precision, bead penetration, and overall quality; clean and smooth welds by grinding and filing.

-Safety & Maintenance: Maintain tools and machinery (e.g., drills, presses, saws) and strictly adhere to WHS and Lean manufacturing principles.

What you need:

-Trade Certificate preferred but not essential

-Ability to read and understand complex drawings

-Experience operating and maintaining Welding machinery

-Current Driver’s License

-Current Forklift License (preferred)

-Current First Aid Certificate (preferred)

-Demonstrated experience in working in a team environment within manufacturing

-Good communication skills.
