SAUNDERS & WARD PTY. LTD. (ABN 67 009 487 218) is looking for a Metal Fabricator to support their workshop operations in Kingston, Tasmania. To be considered for the role you need to have a relevant industry qualification or at least 3 years' experience in a similar position.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications to understand project requirements.
- Selecting, cleaning, and preparing metal materials for fabrication.
- Cutting metal sections and shapes with hand tools, flame torches, and cutting machines.
- Shaping and bending metal sections and pipes using hand and machine tools, as well as heating and hammering techniques.
- Aligning components for assembly with precision hand tools and measuring instruments.
- Assembling metal sections through various welding techniques, bolting, and riveting.
- Inspecting welds for bead width, penetration, and accuracy.
- Completing products by cleaning, polishing, filing, and treating in acidic solutions.
- Smoothing and refining welds through filing, chiseling, and grinding for a polished finish.
