About the Role
As a Metal Fabricator, you will be responsible for producing, assembling, and welding metal components to exact specifications. You’ll work from technical drawings and plans to fabricate high-quality structures, contributing to projects that demand precision and efficiency.
You will be expected to maintain a safe, clean, and organised workspace while delivering consistent results on time. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a busy workshop environment and is passionate about their trade.
Key Responsibilities
• Read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications
• Fabricate and assemble structural metal components to precise standards
• Perform cutting, welding, grinding, and finishing of metal materials
• Operate fabrication tools and machinery safely and effectively
• Ensure quality checks are performed throughout the fabrication process
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to WHS standards
• Collaborate with other team members to meet project deadlines
Skills and Experience
• Minimum 3+ years of proven experience as a qualified Metal Fabricator
• Strong ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Proficiency in welding and fabrication techniques
• Skilled in the use of workshop tools, equipment, and machinery
• High attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality work
• Strong safety awareness and knowledge of WHS practices
• Reliable, hardworking, and able to work independently or as part of a team
