Through the Youth Community Living Support Services (YCLSS) program, you will support young people aged 15–24 experiencing serious mental health challenges to build confidence, independence and hope for the future. What is YCLSS? YCLSS is a government-funded, community-based program designed to empower young people living with mental illness. By providing psychosocial support the program helps participants stay connected to their communities, pursue education or employment, manage mental health and find stable housing. With Local Health District partners we provide coordinated, holistic care that supports not just individuals but their families and futures. About the opportunity Join the YLCSS team at Wellways, where Support Workers walk alongside participants as they navigate the journey into adulthood. In this role, you’ll provide intensive, person-centred support to build essential life skills in areas such as: Social connection, leadership, and decision-making Teamwork, resilience, and self-esteem Healthy lifestyles, community service, and personal responsibility As part of the team, you will also: Keep accurate and timely records to ensure high-quality support Be guided by Wellways’ Well Together Model and Recovery Frameworks Travel across the region, with some overnight stays as required This is more than a job it’s an opportunity to support the next generation to build independence, confidence and brighter futures. What do you need: Completion of the Certificate 4 in Mental Health, Certificate 4 in Mental Health Peer Work or Certificate 4 in Community Services, or equivalent practical experience working in a mental health role.
