The role:
As a Support Worker, you’ll provide practical, trauma-informed and recovery-oriented support to NDIS participants living with psychosocial disability and/or other disabilities.
You’ll work across home, community and social settings to help people meet their goals.
Day-to-day, you will:
Support daily living: personal care, meal prep, medication prompts (as trained), domestic assistance
Enable community access: transport, appointments, social and recreational activities
Follow individual support plans, routines and behaviour support strategies
Use professional communication and boundaries to build safe, trusting relationships
Keep accurate, timely documentation (progress notes, incidents, risk alerts)
Collaborate with families, guardians and allied health providers as required
Uphold participant rights, dignity and choice — always
About you:
You’re compassionate, reliable and calm under pressure. You bring sound judgement and a learner’s mindset.
Essential:
Certificate III/IV in Individual Support, Disability, Community Services, Mental Health or equivalent experience
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or eligible to obtain)
Current National Police Check (within 12 months)
Valid Working With Children Check (VIC)
Current First Aid & CPR (HLTAID011/HLTAID009)
Unrestricted Australian working rights
Full driver licence and reliable, insured vehicle (for community access)
Desirable:
Experience supporting people with psychosocial disability, autism, intellectual disability and/or complex needs
Knowledge of recovery-oriented practice and positive behaviour support
Confidence using mobile apps for rosters and documentation
