  • headspace Knox & Lilydale are vibrant, youth-focused mental health services supporting young people aged 12–25 and their families. Our multidisciplinary team delivers evidence-based care, including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), to help young people thrive.
  • Your role, your impact

As a Mental Health Clinician (Allied Health – DBT-Informed), you’ll make a real difference in the lives of young people and their families. You’ll

  • Manage a caseload of young people under the Medicare Better Access Scheme.
  • Deliver high-quality, flexible mental health interventions to young people aged 12–25.
  • Support the DBT program by managing a small caseload of DBT group participants and attending weekly DBT Treatment Team meetings.
  • Formulate and apply assessment, treatment, and evaluation processes tailored to each young person.
  • Actively monitor risk, complete risk assessments, safety plans, and mental state examinations.
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, advocating for young people and supporting their goals.
  • Maintain accurate records and meet all Medicare Better Access Scheme requirements.
  • Who we’re looking for

You’ll thrive in this role if you have

  • Eligibility for Medicare provider registration (mandatory).
  • Tertiary qualifications in psychology, mental health social work, or occupational therapy (mandatory).
  • Current full registration with AHPRA or AASW (mandatory).
  • Experience providing therapeutic interventions to young people.
  • Strong knowledge of the Medicare Benefits Scheme and youth mental health.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
  • High computer literacy and experience with electronic medical records.
  • What will make you stand out
  • Experience with DBT or group-based interventions.
  • Experience working with young people with complex mental health needs, including personality disorders.
  • Knowledge of the broader youth service system.
