Your role at St John of God Bunbury Hospital We are currently seeking a Medical Receptionist to join our dedicated and supportive Medical Clinic team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing and maintaining an efficient clerical service to the Medical Specialists and be responsible for the successful and smooth running of a Medical Centre. The role is offered on a Permanent Part Time basis, working 15 hours per week. The Position: Adheres to all Hospital Policies and Procedures Deal with telephone and front-line reception enquiries in a courteous and highly professional manner. Manage the intake and referral process with consideration to service criteria and staff workload. Manage appointment diary of medical centre and hospital bookings. Manage online Medicare billing and batching. Manage petty cash, balancing of daily receipting, banking and all mail. Prepare medical records for medical centre. Make medical centre appointments and update medical centre appointment schedule. Input patient details into computer in a detailed and accurate manner. Ensure admission forms are completed for all hospital procedures. Communicate effectively to pre-admission patient/s in preparation of their treatment. Coordinate pathology and diagnostic tests and ensure the most recent results are available. Liaise with patients and their families in a caring and compassionate manner. Liaise and collaboratively work with Medical Practitioners, Medical Receptionists and other health workers. Photocopy and fax information as requested. The ideal candidate will have strong time management skills, the ability to prioritise tasks, work independently, and perform well under pressure. Proficiency in medical reception software, advanced computer skills including Practice Management Software and Microsoft applications, and a sound knowledge of medical terminology are required. To be successful, you will have a strong understanding of confidentiality and sensitivity when dealing with patients. Attention to detail and accuracy, excellent presentation, a positive attitude, and flexibility with working hours are key attributes in addition to exceptional verbal and written communication skills, coupled with a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service. We can offer you Salary: $68,939 to $74,417 per annum (pro-rata), plus 12% superannuation Permanent Part-Time position, working 15 hours a week.
