Your new role

Be responsible for managing the project management lifecycle, as part of the Small Projects Management Framework, including well-written, well-structured documentation.
Demonstrate strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills
Engage with project stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives
Negotiate contract terms and conditions, to support project schedule and budget
Ensure ownership of projects, including stakeholder engagement, monthly KPIs and various internal reporting
Actively participate in Field Leadership program
Be responsible for a wide range of
Upgrading/improving mine site infrastructure, outside the processing plant, focusing on mechanical and electrical infrastructure
Water fill points, pumping, diesel delivery, technology towers, switchboards, etc.
Replacement of mine site infrastructure, outside the processing plant, to align to current/new standards

Buildings, bathhouses, crib rooms, substations, etc.


Procurement of accessories for mine site operations
Small improvement projects throughout the mine site
Assisting Project Managers on larger projects throughout the mine site

What you'll need to succeed

Experience in a similar, complex, industrial environment with on-site exposure
Bachelor's degree or qualification in Engineering or tertiary-related discipline
A high commitment to safety, quality, attention to detail and procedures
Ability to influence, engage with & communicate effectively across multiple levels, business units, functional areas, and external stakeholders
Project Management experience, including project procurement
Ability to problem-solve effectively, work under pressure, and think strategically. For example, supporting various stakeholders with competing priorities, managing those relationships, expectations, and formulate appropriate action plans.
Demonstrate effective writing skills in email, documentation, and presentation development, taking into consideration the target audience
Demonstrate effective skills in Microsoft Suite, including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Outlook

What you'll get in return
You will be offered a role working in an open-cut metallurgical coal mine in the Bowen Basin located near Moranbah, Central Queensland. You will be working 5:2 roster with FIFO/DIDO arrangements and flexible options for the right candidate. Hays will pay you on a weekly basis, and you will be paid an attractive hourly rate & super. Our position is commencing ASAP and is long term for the right candidate.
