We are developing a small consumer tabletop product that requires a stable, non-slip base which attaches to a detachable upper component using a three-tab twist-lock interface. The base must adhere securely to a variety of smooth plastic surfaces using a vacuum retention (suction) system, and be released manually when needed. Scope of Work The engineer will design and deliver a Base Assembly that includes: * A vacuum / suction retention mechanism, activated by one of the following: * Push-down displacement, or * Twist-to-compress (rotary cam) vacuum activation, or * Slide-to-compress (linear cam) vacuum activation * A manual vent / release mechanism that is easy for adults, but resistant to accidental or child-level activation * A three-tab twist-lock mechanical interface (120° spacing) between the base and the detachable upper component * A flexible sealing perimeter (silicone or TPE) that reliably maintains vacuum across common molded plastic surface textures The engineer should evaluate the most suitable vacuum activation method based on: * Sealing reliability * Manufacturing feasibility * User ergonomics * Durability and repeat use Required Experience Please apply only if you have experience in: * Injection-molded consumer products * Vacuum, suction, pressure or silicone sealing systems * Mechanical locking interfaces (bayonet / twist-lock / snap fit) * DFM for high-volume molding Intellectual Property & Work-for-Hire All work performed under this contract, including models, designs, CAD files, drawings, prototypes, methods, and improvements, will be owned exclusively by the Client, worldwide, in perpetuity. This is work-made-for-hire, and the Contractor agrees to assign all intellectual property rights to the Client upon payment. The Contractor may not: * Reuse or repurpose the design * Disclose or share any project information * Register or assert patents based on this work NDA must be signed before files or additional details are provided.
