We are looking for a passionate Mechanical Engineer Technician to support the maintenance, repair, and optimisation of machinery and equipment across our farming operation. This role is essential to keeping our farm running smoothly and efficiently, ensuring that tractors, and other mechanical assets remain in top working condition.

You will be responsible for:
• Selecting tools and equipment
• Assembling and installing new and modified mechanical assemblies, components, machine tools and controls, and hydraulic power systems
• Estimating material costs and quantities, and machine requirements
• Optimizing mechanical efficiency by adjusting machinery and equipment settings.
• Documenting processes and maintaining mechanical service records.
• Installing and performing diagnostic tests on mechanical systems.
• Set up and conduct tests of complete units and their components, and record results
• Analyse risks within construction to ensure works are delivered safely and meet all environmental and quality requirements
• Developing and implementing mechanical maintenance plans to prevent costly equipment breakdowns.
• Willingness to perform mechanical maintenance and repairs outside of business hours.
The successful applicant will possess:
• Previous experience in a maintenance, farm-hand, or general trades role.
• Experience working in a farm or agricultural environment (highly regarded).
• Willingness to do weekend work.
• Experience operating machinery such as a Kubota, Bobcat, or similar equipment.
• Understanding of routine machinery start-up checks and maintenance.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to work independently.
• Flexible and positive attitude with strong task-prioritisation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and in a multicultural team environment.

Salary $70,000 - $80,000 per year
