Eniquest is a highly regarded diesel generator set manufacturing business based on the Sunshine Coast north of Brisbane. With a passion for Australian Made, Eniquest sources all of it fabricated metalwork and machined components from within Australia.

We are seeking a very capable and highly motivated Mechanical Engineer to work on site, full time, 40 hours per week. To produce 3D models and detailed component drawings for our subcontract manufacture. In particular, develop SolidWorks 3D models of new generator set followed by the development of individual components for manufacture.

The following are the duties of the Mechanical Engineer, but will not be limited to:
Producing 3D SolidWorks product assembly models
Producing 3D SolidWorks fabricated or machined component models
Producing manufacturing drawings for fabricated or machined components for our product build
Produce assembly instruction drawings for our workshop
Produce product build list
Produce electrical control drawings and schematics
Maintain drawing issue control and numbering system
Maintaining up to date hard copy drawing filing systems
Assist with the research and development of new and innovative products
Continually update existing products with improvements and cost reduction design
Maintaining all aspects of workplace health and safety as well as maintaining a pleasant and enjoyable working environment
Being an ambassador for Eniquest and always being focused on growing its market and promoting sales
On occasions, producing models of our manufactured products
Reporting directly to the Head of Engineering

What we are looking for:
Must have experience with diesel generator design and understand diesel engine, alternator cooling and noise reduction
Must be experienced in conducting Finite Element Analysis for all structural components and providing detailed reporting for their suitability for use in particular applications
Must have experience in cost reduction for manufactured components
Must have a fluent understanding of the manufacture metal fabrication have a metal fabrication trade background in the manufacturing industry
Competent and fluent using SolidWorks CAD systems
Able to create 3D component drawings and assemblies
Able to create accurate and well-defined drawings for subcontract manufacture
Must have understanding of electrical control and power drawings.

In addition, must be highly focused to complete all task in a timely manner and without supervision, be well organised, possess excellent verbal written communication skills, and demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail.
