The Manager, Data Delivery and Data Ops is a hands-on leader who combines strategic oversight with technical depth to solve complex business problems, support enterprise data architecture, and drive the delivery of modern data solutions. Responsibilities Oversee two core streams: continuous data delivery and data operations, ensuring alignment with business priorities and strategic goals. Balance hands-on technical involvement with leadership responsibilities to drive outcomes and unblock delivery. Guide the design and implementation of scalable, reliable, and reusable data pipelines and frameworks using AWS, Talend, Snowflake and other technologies. Contribute to the evolution of data architecture, including integration of AI/ML capabilities and modern data patterns. Promote modern engineering practices such as CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, automated testing, and observability. Lead the development of reusable data products, data models and automation frameworks to improve delivery speed and reduce operational overhead. Ensure automation of data ingestion, transformation, quality checks, and monitoring. Ensure robust support processes for data pipelines, including incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement. Ensure data solutions comply with governance, privacy, and security standards. Essentials Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline. Overall 10+ years of commercial experience in Data Engineering, ETL, and Data Warehouse development with 5+ years of experience in team leadership and operational management within data-focused environments. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms and data tools including AWS (EC2, EMR, S3, Aurora), Snowflake, Talend, Azure, and Databricks. Advanced SQL and PL/SQL skills, with expertise in performance tuning and query optimization. Strong understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data warehousing concepts, and big data frameworks such as Hive and Spark. Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, working closely with business and technology teams Intermediate knowledge of data modelling techniques, especially Data Vault and dimensional modelling. Proven ability to optimize performance and manage cost efficiency in Snowflake and AWS environments. Experience implementing monitoring, alerting, and observability practices for data platforms. Strong understanding of data quality, cleansing, masking, encryption, and compliance standards. Experience implementing data governance frameworks, metadata management, and access controls. Experience supporting advanced analytics, including predictive modelling and machine learning initiatives.
