- How will you make an impact in this role?
- The Manager, Acquisition Offers and Creative Strategy is responsible for leading a team of marketing professionals that defines and executes best in class customer acquisition offer and creative strategies to help unlock growth of our Consumer and Business Card product portfolios.
- This role will suit a Marketing leader who enjoys a diverse, fast-paced team, focused on building the future of American Express by driving results, testing innovation, and leveraging external partnerships. The successful candidate will be a seasoned people leader, strong strategist, and multi-tasker able to balance the ability to manage the offer and creative planning and delivery process with the need to make ROI backed investment decisions.
Key responsibilities include
- Lead Offer and Creative strategy, planning and execution of external Consumer and Business customer Acquisition across key channels.
- Lead development of product specific acquisition strategies and creative platforms to drive scale and profitability.
- Development and implementation of innovative strategies to target and attract high potential prospects across channels.
- Lead, develop and mentor the Offers and Creative strategy team.
- Work closely with key business partners including external agency partners, other acquisition channel managers, offer implementation and governance team, paid media team, centres of excellence based offshore, analytics, Brand, Product and Finance to ensure strategic alignment.
- Ownership of the offer and creative teams budget.
- Maintains market awareness of both competitors and technological advances to inform our future strategic plans for acquisition offers and creative.
- Partner with the broader team to align on acquisition investment prioritisation and budgets.
- Minimum Qualifications
- Is a seasoned professional with subject matter expertise in full-funnel marketing, customer acquisition, creative development and agency management experience.
- Has extensive experience working with agencies to deliver best in class creative campaigns while maintaining focus and discipline on performance and financial impact.
- Proven track record of driving results through strong people leadership and general management.
- Proven track record of driving colleague engagement, and a clear willingness to continue to improve and grow as a leader.
- Strong budget management experience.
- Strong business judgment, communication and relationship building skills including an ability to influence and inspire others to support key strategies and tactics.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities with a strong attention to detail.
- Experience working in a matrixed environment and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance in financial services is an advantage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, or a related field.
- Experience in managing a customer acquisition incentive program or similar.
- Creates solutions to complex issues and implements strategies/approaches to drive business growth.
- Thrives on innovation in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment.
- Has superior analytical, creative and problem-solving skills.
- Is a creative, innovative thinker who can communicate new ideas, and convince others to support strategies and tactics.
- Has a dynamic, positive and energetic attitude and work ethic.
- Has knowledge of American Express Cards products, services and benefits, and/or understanding of the Financial Services Industry.
- Has a minimum 5+ years of marketing management experience.
