Maintenance Technician – Technicians and Trades Workers n.e.c.
At RADIATION PROFESSIONALS AUSTRALIA PTY LTD, we are seeking a full-time (38-40 hours per week), highly skilled Maintenance Technician – Technicians and Trades Workers n.e.c. to join our team. Radiation Professionals Australia (RPA) provides expert radiation advice and support services primarily to the mining, exploration, petroleum, and industrial sectors, with a special emphasis on petroleum and mining. For over a decade, our consultants have been assisting companies of all sizes, from small exploration ventures to large multinational oil and gas corporations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Perform maintenance, operation and troubleshooting of HPWB and UHP decontamination equipment within an Oil & Gas environment
• Operate UHP pumping systems, including WOMA and Den-Jet units across various models
• Maintain, service and repair UHP equipment including pumps, gophers, hoses, guns and associated ancillaries
• Conduct radiation and mercury (Hg) decontamination on rigid and flexible piping, subsea structures/trees, spools and casings
• Work with radioactive, mercury-contaminated and hazardous materials in compliance with site and regulatory requirements
• Operate and monitor AHDF automated conveyor systems used in decontamination processes
• Perform minor mechanical repairs and fault-finding on AHDF systems and associated equipment
• Carry out servicing of pumps and interchangeable sets to ensure operational reliability
• Work at heights during subsea structure and equipment decontamination activities
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and quality standards at all times
• Assist with the preparation of daily maintenance and operational reports
• Support supervisors by providing updates on equipment condition, faults and maintenance activities
• Contribute to the development and adherence of procedures and safe work instructions
• Maintain housekeeping standards within the decontamination yard and work areas
Requirements
• Relevant Qualification or 3 years of experience in lieu of the qualification
• Professional approach.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Organisational and time management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
Position: Full Time
Salary: $70,000 - $150,000 per year
