Mt Owen/Glendell Operations (MGO) is an open cut mining operation which utilises truck and excavator mining methods to produce thermal and semi-soft coking coal, which is predominantly exported for domestic power generation and use in steel production. We are located within the Hunter Coalfields at Hebden in the Upper Hunter Valley of New South Wales. An opportunity exists for a motivated and dynamic Maintenance Supervisor at MGO. Reporting to the Maintenance Execution Superintendent and working a dayshift only Lifestyle Roster, you will be a team leader responsible for the supervision of the maintenance field team. Working on a modern mining fleet with a focus on achieving availability and reliability targets, you will help drive maintenance performance and safety standards across site. As a frontline leader in the business, your main accountabilities include, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, effective resource and personnel management, identifying and implementing opportunities to reduce costs and delivering agreed KPIs whilst continually maintaining and improving a safe workplace. The requirements for success in this role include: Relevant trade or engineering qualifications. Field Equipment Maintenance experience including Liebherr excavators, Hitachi excavators, Caterpillar Drills and Reedrill SKF Drills. Demonstrated supervisory skills and previous experience. Open Cut Coal Mining experience. Solid communication skills and experience in leadership and teamwork. Demonstrated exposure to computerised maintenance management systems and an extensive knowledge of SAP. Motivated and positive attitude with a proactive approach in helping contribute to a positive culture. You will have a high regard for the value of teamwork and the provision of visible leadership.
