About the Role:
As a Maintenance Planner/Scheduler at M2P, you'll be instrumental in ensuring the smooth and efficient execution of our heavy industrial projects. Your role will involve both strategic maintenance planning and meticulous project scheduling. You'll be responsible for developing and maintaining schedules that support the timely delivery of construction and maintenance tasks, while also managing the resources needed to achieve our goals. Your work will directly contribute to the safety, quality, and on-budget completion of M2P's projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintenance and Scheduling: Develop and maintain detailed maintenance planning strategies and project schedules, using software such as Primavera P6 or MS Project. This includes creating look-ahead programs, forecasting, and tracking progress.
• Resource and Logistics Management: Organize and record the mobilization, utilization, availability, and procurement of labor, materials, and plant & equipment. You'll conduct resource analysis to identify business needs and opportunities for improvement.
• Project Oversight and Analysis: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and supervisors to gather inputs and update schedules. You will analyze critical paths and resource requirements, identifying potential risks and delays.
• Reporting and Compliance: Provide regular progress reports and forecasts to project teams and clients. Ensure all maintenance and project activities comply with quality standards, safety regulations, and project requirements. Assist in preparing delay claims and extension of time submissions when necessary.
• Technical and Strategic Support: Offer technical advice and support to project teams on operational and coordination matters. You'll also monitor project performance against KPIs and assist in developing pricing and solution strategies for maintenance projects.
• Personnel Coordination: Manage and coordinate maintenance personnel, providing technical input when needed, and offering support for project resource management from a QA/QC and HR perspective.
Qualifications:
• An Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma is the standard for this role.
In place of a formal qualification, at least 3 years of highly relevant work experience may be accepted, a combination of both formal training and on-the-job experience.
• First Aid Certificate.
• Driver's License (minimum Class C).
• Excellent working knowledge of Civil Construction Scheduling and Design Software.
• Sound mathematical, scientific, and IT skills.
• Ability to think methodically, manage projects, and solve problems.
• Ability to work to deadlines and within budgets.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Negotiating, supervisory, and leadership skills.
• Complete knowledge of relevant legislation.
