Position Overview
The Maintenance Planner is responsible for coordinating preventative, scheduled, and corrective maintenance activities across production machinery, plant infrastructure, and facility systems. The role focuses on planning maintenance schedules, preparing work orders, coordinating resources, and maintaining accurate maintenance documentation to support operational reliability.
The Maintenance Planner works closely with production supervisors, maintenance technicians, procurement personnel, and external service providers to ensure maintenance activities align with production schedules and operational priorities.
Key Responsibilities
The Maintenance Planner will undertake the following duties:
i. Developing preventative maintenance programs for manufacturing equipment, packaging machinery, and facility infrastructure
ii. Planning and scheduling maintenance activities using maintenance planning systems and digital tracking tools
iii. Preparing maintenance work orders, service schedules, and job planning documentation
iv. Coordinating maintenance activities with production teams to minimise operational downtime
v. Monitoring equipment performance indicators and maintenance intervals
vi. Liaising with internal maintenance staff, production supervisors, and external contractors to coordinate technical work
vii. Maintaining maintenance records, service logs, equipment histories, and compliance documentation using CMMS or CRM-integrated maintenance systems
viii. Supporting spare parts planning, procurement coordination, and inventory control for maintenance components
ix. Assisting with fault reporting processes and maintenance response planning
x. Participating in reliability improvement initiatives and preventative maintenance reviews
xi. Supporting workplace health and safety compliance in maintenance planning activities
xii. Communicating maintenance schedules and updates to relevant operational stakeholders

Skills and Experience
RASA Beverages is seeking a candidate with practical maintenance coordination capability and strong organisational planning skills within a production or industrial environment.
Essential
i. Atleast Certificate IV or Diploma in Engineering, Mechanical Technology, Maintenance Planning, or a related discipline
ii. At least one year of relevant maintenance planning, maintenance coordination, or industrial maintenance experience
iii. Strong scheduling and organisational capability
iv. Ability to interpret technical manuals, equipment documentation, and maintenance procedures
v. Clear communication skills when working with technicians, supervisors, contractors, and operational stakeholders
vi. Confidence using digital planning systems, maintenance tracking software, or CRM-based operational tools
Desirable
i. Experience in beverage, food, packaging, or manufacturing environments
ii. Familiarity with preventative maintenance frameworks and reliability planning iii. Exposure to production equipment maintenance coordination
iv. Understanding of spare parts inventory planning
v. Preference will be given to Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents
